Research Assessment Exercise 2008

Results of the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise came out in December 2008 http://www.rae.ac.uk/

The University of Plymouth made a huge leap from place 65 to 50 on the list of UK universities. More information here.

The Centre for Theoretical and Computational Neuroscience prepared a common bid with Computer Science. We received an outstanding evaluation with 25% of our research outputs rated world leading (4*), 50% world excellent (3*) and 25% world recognised (2*). This research profile makes us the number 13 of Computer Science Departments in the UK, an excellent result for a new university like UoP.
